2nd Bluemed Italian National Event
The second BlueMed Italian National Event was held on July 31st in Rome, at the National Research Council central premises.
The meeting brought together the national stakeholders to discuss the BlueMed Italian White Paper. Resulting from the contribution of about 50 experts of the national community, including representatives of relevant Ministries, it contains an overview of the relevance, obstacles and proposals of the key sectors for a Blue Growth, especially focussed on the Italian context.
Moreover, the BlueMed strategic R&I agenda 2018 was presented, future actions in the frame of the next EU Framework Programme Horizon Europe were envisioned, and the opportunities created by the newly established National Technologic Cluster on Blue Italian Growth (BIG) discussed.
The meeting was closed by a round-table where the principal stakeholders had the chance to exchange their visions on Blue Growth in Italy with the diverse institutional representatives attending the meeting (from a number of Italian Ministries and public Institutions: MIUR, MISE, MIPAAF, MIT, MAE, Difesa, MATTM, MIBACT, Agenzia per la Coesione).
