BlueMed at the EcoMondo fair in Rimini | 6-7-8 Nov. 2019
The Italian coastal city of Rimini will be, like every year, the venue of the EcoMondo Fair, the benchmark event in Europe for technological and industrial innovation regarding circular economy.
BlueMed will participate with a dedicated stand, beacon conferences and a number of related events.
Building the strategic Italian Blue Growth network and the reducing plastic pollution in the Mediterranean are the two thematic poles of the beacon conferences:
- Structuring Italian Blue Growth: BlueMed meets BIG (Thursday Nov. 6th, 10:00-17:30): a joint event of BlueMed and the National Technologic Cluster on Blue Growth BIG, to present and discuss the state of the art regarding Blue Growth.
- A Plastic-free healthy mediterranean sea: the BLUEMED R&I Pilot (Friday Nov. 7th, 10:00-13:30): a pivotal event for the development of the BlueMed Pilot Action on the reduction of plastic litter in the Mediterranean.

Alongside scientists and experts, the conferences will be joined by representatives of the concerned Ministries and Italian as well European Institutions.

Circular Economy for the definition of a sustainable and integrated Blue Growth Strategy (Thursday Nov. 7th, 10:00-17:30): the event will continue the work on the cooperation between the two shores of the Med initiated at the Summit “Les Deux Rives” (Marseille, June 24th, 2019; final statement here).

Marine litter and blue economy, impacts and solutions from fisheries and aquaculture (Friday Nov. 8th, 10:00-13:45).
